I-17 crossroads

MobileRVRepairinCampVerde

Camp Verde is where I-17 travelers stop and where a lot of RVs settle in for a season of mild weather.

Northern Arizona

Camp Verde sits at the junction of I-17 and SR-260, which makes it a natural break point between Phoenix and Flagstaff. RV resorts here fill with winter visitors, ranch and acreage properties keep rigs parked at home, and a constant stream of travelers passes through with 60 miles of hard climb ahead of them or behind them.

At roughly 3,100 feet the climate is forgiving compared to the high country, but summers are hot and the elevation change on either side of town is dramatic. Rigs that come down from Flagstaff or up from Phoenix experience real pressure and temperature swings, which is often when a marginal seal, regulator, or cooling system finally shows itself.

Local work spans winter-visitor resorts, agricultural and ranch properties, and traveler troubleshooting. Because the interstate is right here, we get a fair number of calls from owners who want a problem assessed before committing to the grade north.

Check it here, not on the grade

The climb north out of Camp Verde is not the place to discover a problem. If something is overheating, leaking, smelling wrong, or behaving oddly, having it looked at in town costs a delay; discovering it halfway up costs considerably more.

We are honest about severity. If your issue is safe to travel with, we will say so instead of manufacturing urgency.

Long seasonal stays that reveal deferred maintenance
“Bryon was excellent with communication, letting me know I can come in for service sooner than scheduled. He redid my entire PVC sewage line from tank to valve and saved me money by reusing undamaged parts. I totally recommend High Country RV.”
